Nature Preserve Day............What did we see?

An alligator......................"Can you teach my alligator manners". Fast eddy was singing it the whole time we stood just a few feet away from this 4 ftish gator. Today we went to a local nature preserve that has a 2 mile boardwalk through the marsh. It was absolutely beautiful outside, and we all had a great time.


I printed off some scavenger hunts that I made with Microsoft clip art with things like a bird of prey, alligator, snake, turtle, crane, heron, fish, and dragonfly. It was really quiet there today, with the exception of my loud children. We heard a lot of things but didn't see that much. Fast Eddy was really excited about the spiders since that is his favorite(my least), and Carrot top was into the birds. After the walk we ventured to a remote part of the preserve that has a new boardwalk, and as we walked to the end, something came out of the marsh towards the walk. It was an alligator. Poor Carrot top was sleeping in the mei tai and I screamed(yes, girly) and woke him up. He was excited to see the gator though.
