A new Christmas Dress for Lil

Finally a sewing post!!! I needed a dress quickly for the baby for her Christmas pictures. I have been looking for a little red velvet dress in a newborn size but apparently they think all babies need to wear onesies. Bologna. I found this tute and whipped up a simple pillow case dress. Before sewing the 2 pieces together(my dress did NOT come from a pillow case), I appliqued a snowman on the front that was cut out of quilters cotton. I stsitched the dress with a french seam, which is my new FAVORITE way to do kids clothing, and anything else I can do it for. Here is a great Tutorial. I then added a 2 inch ruffle. Tada 30 min dress~!
