Today my husband was home with us(it's our anniversary), so we did a family project for Earth Day. Tomorrow we will be doing a beach clean-up and a sand sculpture to celebrate this important day!
We started by gathering our recycled supplies including paper from packaging, wallpaper scraps, and fabric scraps!

We all took turns painting our hands and printing them on the top of the tree trunk made out of fabric scraps. I wrote all our names on the hands to make up the family tree! Carrot Top had to make two because he smeared the first one.

Next, we cut out leaves from our wallpaper scraps and glued them onto the top of the tree!
As a family we talked about ways we could help our Earth, and wrote them on our wallpaper leaves. We had over 20 ways!

I love the way it turned out! I taped it to the wall in our living room to remind everyone that Earth day should be everyday, and as a family we can make a difference!

We have been reading our little green books all week, and have a list of things we want to do this week! Be sure to enter my giveaway for Little Green Books, it ends tomorrow night!
Fast Eddy and I are have started a long term project of making a family tree! We have been reading books about grandmas, grandpas and aunts/uncles. I found this awesome site, My Heritage that helps you organize a family tree online! You can not only organize your tree but you can add pictures, chat online with family, and locate family members for your tree! It is easy to use, and I am excited to have it all mapped out for Fast Eddy!
They also have this fun little tool Baby Look-A-Like meter, where you upload a picture of your baby, mom and dad and it will tell you who the baby looks more like! Edward and I had a lot of laughs with the results! I am not sure how much I believe it but it was funny! Let me know your results if you try it out!
Stay tuned tomorrow for our Earth Day celebration!
