Thirsties is a USA- made by moms company with passion for cloth diapers and green living! Looking to make cloth diapers affordable and easily attainable to moms everywhere, Thirsties was formed! All of their materials used are USA made, in efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. They strive to make sustainable diapers, and run their business with sustainability in mind. Their warehouse is powered with solar energy, and they try to support locally textile mills whenever possible. I think it is awesome to see a company not only promoting greener living, but are living it themselves as well!

Thirsties carries a wide array of cloth diapering supplies! They have pocket diapers, covers, fitteds, all in ones, inserts, wipes, pail liners, and wipe solution! It is a one stop shop! Having never tried out a Thirsties diaper, I was ecstatic for the opportunity to review the Thirsties Duo diaper!

THIRSTIES DUO DIAPER

TYPE- Pocket diaper in 2 sizes. Size 1 diaper fits babies 6-18 lbs. Size 2 diapers fits babies 18-40 lbs. This diapers offers 3 rows of snaps on each diaper for a long lasting customized fit. Sleeve pocket design to get perfect placement of the insert, and no need to remove insert before washing. Insert will naturally come out in the wash.

CLOSURE- Velcro tabs for a secure snug fit.

MATERIALS- PUL outer, and micro-fleece inner.

INSERTS- 7 Layer insert! This insert comes with two pieces that can snap together. The first piece is 2 layers of microfiber terry, and the second is 5 layers of hemp jersey. To make it even better, every diaper comes with an insert!!

UNIQUE FEATURES- PUL leg gussets for a leaf proof diaper! Their 2 size diaper system with 3 rows of snaps can not be found anywhere else.

OUR REVIEW

I LOVE the 2 size system of Thirsties. Breaking up the one size idea into two, means no bulky diaper on a newborn or a too small diaper on a toddler. I am still saving money but also have a diaper that fits my child perfectly! This duo diaper packs a lot of absorbency in such a trim diaper! Honestly, it is the trimmest diaper I have but definitely the most absorbent! When Lil is wearing her duo diaper, blowouts are a thing of the past thanks to the leg gussets. Breastfed babies are notorious for blowing out the sides, and these gussests have saved quiet a few outfits!

I LOVE the hemp inserts, and that fact that they are included in the very low price is amazing! Each insert is made with 2 parts, and cuts down on drying time too! The unique pocket sleeve feature is open on each end of the diaper, and no matter what she does to the diaper I do not have to touch it! Being that the pocket is open, all I have to do is wash it and the insert will come out. Saving money and saving my hands from touching that :)

This is a stage 1 on the baby.
