I can not tell you how excited I was to receive this product- for so many reasons!!


EasyLunchBoxes.com is Mom-owned by Kelly Lester. I got to talk to Kelly personally and she is so super nice! (While doing research for this article, I discovered that she is an actress and her husband is on HBO's Hung.) She started the bento lunch boxes so she could send her three girls to school with healthy lunches and WITHOUT extra packaging. Also, says she had weight control issues and wanted to model healthy eating for her girls. How amazing is that!



But, to earn the *HGF Seal of Approval* you have to be more than just a great Mom. Rest assured we did our research! The kid lunch boxes are safe for everyone! They are made with food-safe polypropoline (#5) and are BPA, PVC, lead, vinyl and phthalates FREE! They are FDA approved lunch boxes! Not to mention that using these also helps reduce waste normally associated with 'brown bag' lunches. WOW! *HGF Seal of Approval*



As most of you know, the kids have therapies. Well, we have what I call 'Therapy Thursdays.' This consists of an hour drive to the hospital, 2 hours of therapy, then an hour drive home. We leave at 9 AM and return home at 1 PM. Obviously, I need to feed them at some point. Since fast food is not an option, I started packing them lunches. In order to keep the food cool in the car for 4 hours, I packed it in a rolling cooler with ice packs. Getting this thing to the car was IMPOSSIBLE! The twins couldn't get it down the stairs or lift it into the van.

This is why I was so excited to get this kit! What a solution it turned out to be!
First, I packed each lunch box. I have to use heavy duty ice packs because the coolers sit in the car, in the sun, for 2 hours while we are in the hospital.

Then *VOILA!* DONE! I didn't have to carry it to the car, ease it down the steps, put it in the van- nothing! In fact:



They carried them out! (See Mugsy getting in the picture! She's so cute!) This is a HUGE step for us! Things can be hard for them since they aren't at full strength but they can definitely carry a lunch box!

AND, they are perfect for eating in the car!



As I told Kelly, you wouldn't BELIEVE the things I hear "I'll give you your sandwich if I can be the older sister." "I'll give you your yogurt if you promise I get to sleep alone with Mama forever and ever." I mean, it was crazy! Not anymore!! They have their own coolers with their own lunches ALL CONTAINED in one piece (hence the name, Bento lunch boxes!) Blissfully silent!

Sometimes, if the therapy was particularly hard- and they were particularly good- they get a treat! The EasyLunchBox.com system worked PERFECTLY for that, too!



The edges caught all the spills and drips! It was amazing! Lack of fine-motor skills causes plenty of messes. This was the FIRST time I didn't hear "Uh-Oh" from the back seats! (The Princess was in the 3rd row using the lunch boxes and didn't have any spills either! I just couldn't get a clear shot of her over Mugsys car seat!)
