A Day full of Flamingo learning!!

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

We have been taking part of a local wildlife class and the boys have been loving it!! The topic this week was Flamingos! Hands on learning like this is exactly why I homeschool :)

He learned a very important thing today.......do not volunteer for something until you know what it is. He was so embarrassed all in pink- hehehe black mail :)

The kids got to use a pretend Flamingo beak(pooper scooper) to try to dig out shrimp and other little fish. I will be making one of these for home, since Carrot Top had a hard time with it. Great for hand coordination!

And some up close contact with real Flamingos!! The baby was mesmerized by their bright color and honking sounds!

On another note.......Lil turned 15 mths yesterday! My super tiny little thing, still just 16 lbs.
