Air-O- Swiss Humidifer Review and Giveaway

Air-O-Swiss offers great home air purifiers and humidifiers with functional design to bring you clean and healthy air for your family. Very important nowadays with the high levels of chemical off gassing from un-green products. Their parent company, Plaston also strives to be a Eco-friendly company by implementing resource conservation and reusing/recycling raw materials.

Because of Lil's chronic lung disease, I constantly worry about my home air quality. If your home's humidity level is too low it makes for lots of dust and aggravates asthmatic lungs. On the other hand, too high of humidity levels can cause mold to grow- not good either. But how do you know what your home humidity level is? Well, you could go buy a hygrometer- yeah a what??? Or you could kill 2 birds with one stone(I hate that phrase!)and buy an Air-O Swiss Ultrasonic humidifier.

I received an AOS7135 Digital Warm and cool mist Ultrasonic Air humidifier for review purposes and it was just what I needed.

I was interested to see what my current home humidity levels were.....not what I was hoping for. Normal/healthy levels should fall between 40-60 and mine was a whopping 29!! That's why I feel like I have to dust a thousand times a week. This humidifier gives a digital reading of your current humidity level and allows you to set your desired level. The machine will humidify your room up to 650 sq ft until the level is reached- once it is the machine will adjust the flow to maintain the level. WOW!

Set up was much easier than I anticipated. See that off white round thing inside? That is the demineralization cartridge, and it must be soaked for 24 hours in a pitcher of water before initial use. After that, simply fill the tank, attach to base and turn on! The front digital display is very easy to read, and after reading the button guide one time you are fully able to operate the machine. It will tell you when your water is low and allows you to set a timer. You can opt for continuous or 1-9 hours of flow, you can even have it set to turn off while you are sleeping! Even if you did leave it on, you wouldn't hear this thing it is SUPER quiet!

The AOS7135 has a ionized silver stick in the base( which will need to be replaced once a year) that controls microbial growth; combined with the ultrasonic high vibrations microbes will all be destroyed instead of blown out into our clean air. Air- O -Swiss has also pretreated the surface of the cartridge to prevent microbial growth. Rest assured, the mist coming out will be free of microbes.
