AIRING TONIGHT!!! Walmart brings you "Change of Plans"............And a GIVEAWAY!!

Saturday, January 8, 2011

COME ON- Break out the popcorn and soda( or something healthier) and cuddle up for FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT!!! Go get off the computer and watch American Idol's Brooke White(whom was always my fav that season) become a mom in seconds.

Family Movie night is brought to you by P&G and Walmart to bring families meaningful entertainment. Television is one of those places that I struggle to find moral things for my family to watch together. I am lovin' these movies Family Movie Night is rolling out! They also brought you Secrets of the Mountain, A Walk in my Shoes, and The Jensen Project!

Change of Plans
is sure to entertain the entire family. Here is a snippet about the movie,

"Up to this point, Sally Danville's life has played out just as she hoped it would. A beautiful and free-spirited musician, she and her fighter-pilot husband, Jason, live life on the go, free of domestic responsibilities. But with a single phone call from Child & Family Services case worker, Dorothy (Phylicia Rashad, The Cosby Show), she learns that things don't always go according to plan. Sally (Brooke White, American Idol) is met with the news that her best friend from college has died in a tragic accident on a Peace Corps mission and has named Sally the legal guardian of her four kids - 3 of them adopted from third-world countries. Now Sally and Jason (Joe Flanigan, Stargate Atlantis) must quickly learn to parent this instant family and help the kids deal with the culture clash of life in America. The story is both humorous and heartwarming, revealing how fulfilling life can be when you look beyond your own plans and invest in the lives of others."

I watched the movie and thought it was great. I new from the beginning that they would change their mind and keep the kids, but I love watching the kids each learn to give up their old ways a little. When the brother told Ming? that their her parents had did, that was probably the saddest part. When the oldest sister always tried to take care of EVERYTHING even though Auntie Sara was there and willing it was sad...but when it came to the end and she stood up for them so that the family could all stay together, it was great. P. Rachad played a great caseworker.

I love shows that are culturally diverse and thought provoking. This film sounds like it shows both the benefits and challenges of sharing our differences.
