Remember the WW where I told you about our first nest?
Then that one got scavenged and a new nest appeared.
Well, they hatched!! Sometime late Thursday 6/26, 3 of them hatched and the 4th came late 6/27. We have had a blast watching them grow! We think our babies grow fast~ in less then 2 weeks they are almost ready to leave the nest!! I thought it was a longer process then that!!
This bird rested like this as soon as it was strong enough to lift it's head up.
They have a good Mama! She feeds them all the time.
Here's all 4 of them~ getting their feathers.
Now they're so big there's not enough room!
But, I can't wait until they leave!! They hoist their big butts over the side of the clothes pin bag and poop on our picnic table, the deck or whatever is under them.
Plus, they're attracting little bugs. Mites? I don't know what they are but they're tiny and brown and look like teeny-tiny fuzz balls. And they're all over the birds, porch and patio table cushions.
Fun, but not so fun...

Fantastic!
These are so cool! I've been dying to get some baby bird pics!
Awesome Photos!!
the baby with his head resting on the edge is so adorable! Yes, they are messy, but fun & educational to watch...maybe next time they will build in a near by tree? better leave them a note!
They are so cute!

How awesome is that!
Oh how great! What a wonderful nature experience to witness!!
Great pictures! How wonderful to be able to watch them grow.

WOW - THAT'S AWESOME! WHAT A GREAT HOMESCHOOL LESSON THAT WOULD BE! VERY PRECIOUS - ENJOY IT BEFORE THEY LEAVE! :)
I am so jealous. Our nest is up too high to get any good pictures. They actually built it up higher this year and it is already above my head. I love that first picture.
We are handraising one right now - very cute ... the hoisting the butt thing is hilarious.
We have it in a little basket, and it lifts its bottom right up and out into the shavings (at least its easier to clean)
They are so cute! That is the best nest location ever! : )
They are so cute, minus the bird poop of course.
oh! I remember when you found the eggs in that. How exciting. : )
Oh I´m so glad you could take photos of these little birds! This is really cool!
Happy WW!
And thanks for your comment and linking up!

They are fun to watch. But as you know all too well, they can be messy.
they are precious but eeewww, about the bus!
Ah, so cute. bugs and all. I grew up on a farm....has to be a big bug to feak me out! LOL. we have a nest in our front yard tree that the kids have been watching. I heard squawking up there yesterday, so will have to see if we got hatchlings now.
These shots are fantastic! We have a Robin's nest right up against the siding of our house on top of the light at our front door. It is hard to get a great shot though! These are just awesome!
Cute and adorable along with all that goes with it...but so much fun to watch them!
that is amazing, makes me want to hang a bag like it
(but not above our decking) to try to get a family of birds to move in. We've done the houses before, but its so hard to see inside, I'm nervous to open the door on ours, like the nest will fall out or the eggs will roll out. But what a clear shot in the basket is, FUN!
They are so cute. I'm sure the poop is annoying though!
My youngest had a birds nest right outside his bedroom window. He showed every guest that came into our house. Even now that they are gone. The nest is still there to show off.
How cute! I guess they wouldn't want to poop inside their own nest so it makes sense.
The bugs we call "chiggers" on the East Coast. They bite. You might have to go online and see if there is a safe all natural spray you can use for them.
Oh my gosh! How precious. We had bird's nests all over our house. We couldn't see the one, but you could hear every time the mother came back with food! Thanks for the linky!
I just love these pictures. They tell an amazing story!
Thank you SO much for sharing these! And I understand the coolness vs. annoying! We have a cardinal nest in the tree right outside our window. I love being able to look out the window and right into their nest, but the noise those things make between 4am and 10pm is driving me nuts! LOL
Love the baby birds!!!! Nature's way is a miracle! Love your blog and enjoyed my first time to participate in Wordless Wednesday! Happy day! xoxo Kim
Cute birds!
Great pictures. I love to watch birds. Doylene
They are so neat though! I would love to have a nest so close. Hubs and I adore bird watching. You might have to make a new clothes pin bag when it is all done and said though ;D
New follower here. Those birds are so tiny! That is really cool that you can get so close and take some great pictures.
