We received the new SI-40 Agile Steam Mop to review in our home- and with 3 kids we really put it to the test! We have zero carpet in our home, just nice hardwood floors that collect lots of dirt and grime. Haan got it all and left behind no toxins.

The SI40 Agile steam mop features a swivel head to really give you maneuverability. There are soooooo many features that I absolutely love about this steam mop and the steam technology!

 

1- NO BUCKETS!! Every single time I mop my floors, I have to kick around a bucket and keep my toddler from splashing in it. Children can drown in just an inch of water- buckets are not safe in homes with babies.

 

2- NO WET FLOORS!! My kids can still hang on to my shirt tails while I mop, and I don't have to go back over their little footprints! The steam mop dries almost instantly leaving no wet floors behind to slip on or to yell at kids to get off!

 

3- Swivel head gets down! The great swivel head is not flimsy but has a locking mechanism in it so it doesn't just swivel everywhere like other mops I have tried. Has great control, and really gets low, and around my toilet! Sanitization next to a toilet with 2 little boys is vital!

 

4- Eco-Friendly. There are no chemicals to pollute the water, no toxins left behind, no bottles to recycle, no pads top throw away and uses very little water. The removable refillable water bottle is filled at the tap, and lasts 3-4 rooms in my home. The SI40 comes with 2 reusable washable pads, that simple attach with Velcro.

 

5- Can be used on different surfaces- This Haan steam mop can be used on hardwood, tile, laminate and for stain treatment on carpet. Since hardwoods are sensitive, I was having to use different cleaners for the wood than I was using for the bathrooms. I cut all that out with this mop. If you have carpet in your home, the SI40 has a carpet glide attachment that always you to use the steam technology to get up stains. The steam loosens the grime, and allows it to be wiped away. We have no carpet- so I have not tried out this feature.

 

Overall, the steam mop cleans incredibly well and saves my back! For dirt that has been sitting there for a while, I simply leave the mop over the spot for a few seconds and than it easily wipes away without me breaking my back scrubbing. It does take a few minutes to warm up, and gets extremely hot. You will have to monitor little people around so they are not tempted to touch the mop. The floors cool off quickly and my kids love to feel the warmth left behind on their bare feet(no marks left behind form those toes either).
