I'd love to make cinnamon rolls like my aunt and grandma used to make the family on holidays. They'd have to make about 100 of them to feed all the kids. My aunt still makes them on occasion but I'd like to see if I could try it. If I ask for the recipe, she'll ask what's going on and I'll have to tell her about this sweepstake. I guess I better tell her now...but ask her to teach me how to make them if she wins. (She really deserves a great mixer like this. She's been making cinnamon rolls, raisin bread and regular loafs of bread by hand her entire life. She was the only girl in the family. She had 3 brothers. Then she married and had 4 sons, who all have their own sons and only 2 daughters. It's a crazy holiday when they all get together! She's the only one that can make bread and cinnamon rolls like Grandma. We watched them cook all day and even some nights just to watch us devour everything in a matter of minutes.) I think I'll ask her to show me how to make her rolls. We can figure out how to use the Kitchen Aid mixer together. No matter who wins, if I get to eat some of her bread and rolls again, I'm a happy camper! Thanks again for the sweepstake!
Whatever you make, it's got to be big. The bowl is huge! For an anniversary cake, I think a chocolate velvet kind of cake would be perfect. I know most women prefer chocolate but what kind of cake do men like the most? My dad and his brothers liked banana and banana nut bread more than anything. It doesn't sound romantic or anything but if it was Father's Day, we'd make them that. So, why not on Valentine's day too?
