Oransi Ionic Fridge Air Purifier~ Review & Giveaway

Monday, March 12, 2012

You know what is the worst?  A stinky fridge!  Nothing takes your appetite away faster than a head of lettuce that smells like bologna...  And how embarrassing if you have a guest open the door!  Ugh!!!

Imagine my excitement when I was able to try this new and innovative product called the Ionic Fridge Air Purifier made by Oransi!

Oransi, based in Austin, TX, develops green cleaning products such as air purifiers to clean the air so you and those around you can breathe easier, sleep better and feel rejuvenated. The number of children and adults who suffer from allergies and asthma has continued to increase and our air purifiers provide high performance without the features you really don’t need.
Oransi is operated by an experienced management team and our engineers have designed and manufactured air purifiers for the past 16 years. From first hand experience in trying to manage allergies and asthma, we are well aware of the challenges and are thrilled to offer our line of practical, non-invasive air quality solutions to help others. By having a leadership team that is passionate about helping our customers breathe easier and feel better, we have the outlook to make a real difference in our customers’ lives.
To make sure I gave this product a good test, I decided to put my regular baking soda on one side and the Ionic Fridge Air Purifier on the other.

What I noticed was quite interesting! First, let me tell you that there are no filters in the Ionic Air purifier~ there was nothing to take out and clean or replace! Just pop in the 2 AA batteries {which need to be replaced approx every 90 days} and the built-in micro processor will cycle on and off when needed, saving the life of the battery.

The Ionic Fridge Air Purifier makes absolutely no noise because there are no fans! I noticed after several days, my baking soda had already gotten heavy and barely did anything at all.  The Ionic Fridge Air Purifier on the other hand, was still working to remove the odors that have been there for quite some time. Odors like fish and raw meat were kept to a minimum while my celery, lettuce and veggies seemed to stay fresher, longer.

The Oransi Ionic Fridge Air Purifier uses Patented Piezo-Electric Technology that has a high negative ion output, which helps to freshen your refrigerator without harmful side effects of the ozone found in other standard ionizers.  Made of durable fire-resistant ABS materials, the purifier is tested for ozone production by ITI (Industrial Research Technology Institute) and found to be 0.011 ppm which is 78% below FDA limits.

The Ionic Fridge Air Purifier can also be used to freshen laundry rooms and shoe closets or any other small space.  And, since the purifier's batteries cost about $1/month and there is no cost for replacement filters, you can rest assured that you are saving money while making a greener choice for the environment.
