I've talked about this before but some of you might not have been around then but... my girls are dyslexic. Knuckles is so severely dyslexic, she mixes up her syllables and words when she speaks. One of my favorites is 'Kiel Bossy' instead of Bill Cosby.
Needless to say, this causes her great frustration. And she can't read. She is 9 and in the 3rd grade and she can't read. I don't worry too much over it because I am getting her help and seeing different doctors and specialists and I know she'll get there. But, she isn't happy. She really, really wants to learn to read.
Well, today~ she did!! Here is a 7 second clip of her reading for the very first time!

It's so hard to watch our children suffer in any capacity. Yah for the both of you! So awesome to see hurdles being overcome...
Good for her! And she said the words nice and clear too. :)
Wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing!
That is awesome, the best thing is that you are getting her help and you are there for her. I'm so happy she is getting there.
Have a great day!!! And thanks for visiting our WWHOP.
That's so awesome! With a tough mama like you she'll get it!
Learning to read with dyslexia is tough, but a lot of brilliant people were dyslexic too. Thomas Jefferson, Woodrow Wilson, George Washington, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and Andrew Jackson all had dyslexia. Wilson used to memorize his speeches because he had difficulty reading them. Hang in there.

It's probably so frustrating for her! I hope you're able to find something that works for her. What a wonderful moment that must've been for her!
