Art, beautiful art! Nothing says I ♥ you from a child like a heart decorated in sequins made with all the love they can offer! We have an open ended art bin in our home and allow the kids ample time to create masterpieces…….but the bin usually falls short of child art inspiring ingredients. Fibre-art, makers of arts and crafts supplies since the 1950’s, has a great line designed to get kids DESIGNING! Creative Hands has adorable tote kits chock full of inspiring ingredients for open ended art or inspired art!
Their newest art totes feature Lions, Tigers, and Bugs OH MY!! While I hate all things creepy and crawly, these little bugs are super cute and the kids love googly eyes!
While instructions are included as ideas on projects that can be made from the kit, all kits can be used as open ended sooo little ones can make their own creations! Some children LOVE to be creative and come to the table with great imaginations…..some do not. Two of my children would much rather be “inspired” by the project guide. The project sheets do not offer step by step guides, but merely pictures for inspiration. All you need to complete the kit is glue and scissors~ all other supplies are included in the kit!
My daughter immediately opted to create a Zebra from the Zoo kit! The Zoo 2 Do kit features many animals to create in all different dimensions!
Zoo 2 Do • $12.99 • Ages 6+
All the animals in the zoo are jumping up and down for you! Available at retailers Fred Meyer, Meijer and Kroger, this Zoo 2 Do kit with the tote-able handle, features monkey, giraffe, lion, zebra and others for a total of 25 zoo-themed projects.
While the kit is geared for ages 6+, I was able to sit with my youngest child and assist with her crafts. She loves gluing and cutting, so when we can do this in a semi-controlled environment and it doesn’t involve my curtains……I am EXCITED!

She worked very diligently!
She required little assist other than setting out the pieces she needed. We are clearly still learning to cut, sooo art projects like these greatly benefit her hand eye coordination! She was quite proud of her finished creation!
